They're all around theCaribbean/Mexico area, since plane tickets to get there aren'tastronomically expensive, and, perhaps more importantly, they'reall pretty dope — so you can't really go wrong.

"It's a super chillsurf town in Costa Rica. The hotels are simple and reasonablypriced (we loved La Marejada) but there also a ton of cheapbeachfront Airbnbs. Bring some beers down to the beach every nightat sunset to watch the surfers, and eat the delicious cheap tacosat Taco Star.

I came here becauseI wanted to see a side of the Caribbean that was still a bitundeveloped, away from being a collection of resorts and vacationrentals. Little Corn certainly fits that bill, from its isolationto its rugged interior to its sheer beauty. The only thing is thatit's a challenge to get to and the Wi-Fi is limited, which isenough to keep people away — but I'd go now. "The media doesn'ttypically paint Honduras as the most tourist-friendly destinationin the world, but I thought Roatan Island was welcoming. Myaccommodation, Posada Las Orquideas, was about $30 per night, andwas a budget-friendly paradise with giant waterfront balconiesshowcasing tables and hammocks.

Old San Juan oozes charm, and if youstay within the old city's two-square-mile radius, you won't need acar for great restaurants, sightseeing and shopping (and, ofcourse, no one needs a passport for Puerto Rico). "Located one and ahalf hours from the Montego Bay airport, Negril is great for achill, relaxing getaway with girlfriends. As far as hotels, I lovethe Rockhouse Hotel on the cliffs. It's away from everythinghappening on Seven Mile Beach, but still close enough that you cango there if you want. There's also Rick's Cafe nearby, in case youwant to jump off the cliffs. Rockhouse has a spa, a pool, arestaurant, does occasional yoga classes, and is pretty reasonablypriced.
