Suzuki's 11-year-old Lapin has just become more female-friendly in Japan. The five-door Kei car is not only "feminine" and "cute", but it has gained an "adorable style" as well. And it's pink! Champagne pearl metallic pink even! Now don't blame us for that introduction, this is what Suzuki said about its new Lapin Chocolat special edition. Available in Japan only, the Chocolat has that "sugar, spice and everything nice" package that keeps the Powerpuff Girls happy all day long, even when they're fighting the meanest villain.
Getting back to our car in question, the Suzuki Lapin Chocolat was designed to appeal young Japanese women and features several accessories that other manufacturers wouldn't dare fit to their cars. The Chocolat comes with eight bright exterior colors, silver accents, alloy wheels, and ultraviolet/infrared reducing front windows (you don't want that unwanted tan on you).
Inside, the boxy five-door hatchback offers two-tone seats, red and white dashboard trim, among other features. In addition, lady drivers will get an animated rabbit on the multi-information display. What? Rabbits are cute, right?
Priced from JPY1,291,500, the Suzuki Lapin Chocolat is powered by a puny 660cc three-cylinder engine that delivers 54 HP (40 kW) and 63 Nm (46 lb-ft). Though it's much boxier, this vehicle reminds us of the Nissan Figaro. And it's cute enough to go global!
