神秘气息是Amelia Bauer的作品最令我着迷的特质。
Amelia Bauer很擅长布置灯光和调控色彩,给自然营造精神性的、魔法的氛围,并视觉化她感受到的而不是看到的、想揭示又害怕完全揭示的东西,连接自然与人类文明。她拍摄的植物带有明显的人工加工痕迹,延续了美国的按人类意愿改造自然的传统,同时探询着该传统潜藏的心理的与历史的动机。
关于装饰性,她的理解也独树一帜。她认为明亮的花式爆炸和玻璃碎片是许多好莱坞电影的装饰性元素,所以把包含这些元素的、像绘画似的电影剧照印在十字绣布枕套上进行展示,强调其装饰性。
