1 . adv . to the same degree or amount ; 副词：如此；那样

 I was angry , but she was just as angry .(: She was as angry as I was .)

我生气了，但她同样生气。

 They have a lot of money but I don ' t have as much ( as they do ).

他们有很多时间，但我没有那么多。

2. prep . 介词

(1) in the same way as ; like 像，如同

 Everyone sat as one .大家一起同时坐下。

 I only like such small plants as roses .

我只喜欢像玫瑰这样的小植物。

 He speaks English like an Englishman .

他说起英语来有些像英国人。

 He speaks English as an Englishman .(: He speaks English as well as an English .)

(2) in the capacity / job / role / character / condition / function 有…特性，在…状态下，起…功能／作用
