GSGC is an international graduate program that was recently launched by Graduate School of Science at the University of Tokyo and allows students to obtain their degrees in English.
This program welcomes excellent graduates from universities all over the world, fostering world-class science professionals, and standardizes a five-year integrated education scheme in which students attend both the Master's program and the Doctoral program in sequence.
Students on GSGC are also provided with a monthly scholarship during their time on the program and support in finding employment following graduation.
GSGC consists of a two year Master’s program and a three year Doctoral program, for a total of up to five years.
To complete GSGC, Master’s students must pass a Qualifying Examination following completion of their thesis and Doctoral students must pass a Final Examination following completion of their dissertation.

This programme may require students to demonstrate proficiency in English.
Prospective students should have the intention of completing both the Master's and Doctoral programs in sequence, have completed 16 years of education abroad, and have graduated or will graduate from a 3 or 4 year undergraduate program at a university outside of Japan before entering GSGC.

Living Costs
The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
Students accepted onto GSGC will be provided with a monthly scholarship of 180,000 Japanese yen to help with tuition and living expenses.
