An exhibition about humanity and human interaction by a group of artists from both China and abroad is currently being held by the Arthur M. Sackler Museum of Art and Archaeology at Peking University.

In celebration of the 120th anniversary of Peking University as well as the museum’s past 25 years’ of serving as a unique artistic gateway to China and the world, the Sackler Museum is hosting the exhibition with the theme of “Intersection: International Art and Culture”.

With video installations, photography, paintings, sculptures, and drawings by artists from diverse backgrounds on display, the exhibit aims to create cross-cultural understanding and to provide the audience an opportunity to have an open dialogue between the works and the viewers.

This program not only helps promote many forms of art but also cultures from around the globe, explained Miguel Benavides, the Chief Curator and Project Manager for the Sackler Foundation. Benavides continued, “when people come and see the work, they are experiencing someone else’s culture…the program itself is more about education, art, and how cultures get together to create a more cohesive and understanding world.”

According to Benavides, artworks by a total of 14 world renowned artists are on display at the museum.
