10月,在新加坡举行的为期三天的2014世界建筑节中对之前已入围的300多个项目进行了评选，所有单项已决出获奖作品，来自越南的事务所（Vo Trong Nghia Architects）一举斩获29个单项中的3项。而一些大的事务所则表现不佳。
如扎哈·哈迪德的香港理工赛马会创新楼、韩国东大门设计广场及奥地利维也纳经济大学学习中心和图书馆均未能获奖，其它像福斯特、OMA、KPF、帕金斯威尔、Aedas等大设计单位均未能折桂一二。
来自中国的如恩设计（Neri&Hu）则是凭借“田子坊私宅”（Rethinking the Split House）获得了新旧建筑单项奖。BIG的丹麦国家海事博物馆（Danish Maritime Museum）则获得了文化建筑单项奖。
