　　Gather ye rose-buds while ye may,

　　Old Times is still a-flying:

　　And this same flower that smiles today,

　　Tomorrow will be dying.

　　罗伯特·赫里克(1591-1674)

　　“骑士派”诗人之一。“骑士派”诗歌主要描写宫廷中的调情作乐和好战骑士为君杀敌的荣誉感，宣扬及时行乐。不过赫里克也写过不少清新的田园抒情诗和爱情诗，如《樱桃熟了》 、《致水仙》、《疯姑娘之歌》等等。它们均成为英国诗歌中的名作而永久流传。他的许多诗还被谱曲传唱，共计约有1400首。
