商旅?义乌之心城市生活广场/ Aedas
来自专筑编辑刘庆新的报道。由Aedas设计的商旅 ? 义乌之心城市生活广场位于浙江省义乌市商业中心区绣湖广场商圈,包括大型零售购物中心、景观广场、室内外步行空间及大型地下车库等,涵盖商业零售、休闲娱乐、餐饮美食、生活服务、文化演艺、展示体验等多种业态。通过建筑语言的运用表达,设计融合义乌的历史、文化,为该商区打造一站式生活体验中心。

义乌,作为浙江省重要的商业城市,以小商品贸易闻名与海内外。城市形成发展的重要元素“义乌河”成为设计灵感源泉,项目设计董事刘程辉及纪达夫以意为河流的 “川” 字作为切入点,融合义乌传统的历史、文化元素,以新旧结合为基调,利用现代建筑手法打造一个传统和现代生活文化兼具的都市综合体。

项目基地东临义乌市北门街,而北门街拱辰门在义乌近现代商贸发展时期有着重要意义。它见证了义乌商业文化的萌芽与发展,成为了象征义乌开放而灵活的商业态度的一个符号。设计运用灰砖,将北门街的城墙肌理映射于建筑之上,再现拱辰门的恢宏气势,并以渐变的窗洞变化展现视觉冲击力,寓意着义乌从传统到现代的历史发展。

项目用地南北长340米,高差8米,引入多首层概念,除一层主入口外,2层作为次首层引入东侧及北侧人流。并以步行天街的形式将人流从室外引至五层,在建筑中部营造大尺度开放式室外平台,作为屋顶首层以激活上层商业。

该地块为纯商业性质用地,且容积率高。在此条件下, 8层商业方能满足建筑容量要求,而如何带动人流及激活顶部商业成为设计必须解决的重要问题。设计巧妙引入义乌文化42级台阶概念,原为旧时义乌经商的必经之路,承载了老一辈义乌人的记忆。打破传统购物中心模式,除传统的室内商业流线外,引入另一条24小时室外步行商业流线,以南侧主入口广场处作为起点,在北门街一侧将人流引导至5层商业平台。连接各层级室内外空间,使其相互渗透,加强建筑室内外空间联系,并加强与外部城市的对话,让人们在行走过程中形成丰富的空间体验,并延续义乌形象与历史记忆。

The city of Yiwu, also known as ‘The Ocean of Commodity, A Shopping Paradise’, is located in the Zhejiang province. It has a long historical background and a rich cultural heritage. Since 2005, Yiwu has been recognised as the largest small commodity distribution centre in Asia by the United Nation and other worldwide organisations.

Situated along the Yiwu River, the city was founded during the Qin dynasty. The river formed the artery of the city, bringing wealth, prosperity and trade to the heart of Yiwu. The form of this Aedas-designed project is inspired by the Chinese character for river ‘川’ and the design signifies the prosperity that the river has brought to the city.

The history and culture of Yiwu is presented through the architecture in both form and functions. Designed by Leo Liu and Keith Griffiths, The Heart of Yiwu is situated along the east of Beimen Street where the city wall and gate once stood. Beimen Street has played a significant role in the modern commercial development of Yiwu, particularly during the rise of the commodity trading market following the economic reform. The introduction of stone brick wall along the face on Beimen Street resembles the city wall and gate. The fa?ade with subtle variations of the openings on stones symbolises the historical development of Yiwu from traditional to modern.

The high plot ratio and commercial aspirations of the client required eight floors of commercial space to achieve the maximum potential of the site. Given its unique location and size, it posed a challenge to bring people from the ground level to the upper floors. In order to achieve this, the design has introduced ‘42 steps’ as an exterior circulation, which was an essential historical pathway for the tradesmen of Yiwu. In addition to the use of typical internal circulation route connecting the north and south public plazas on the ground floor, the external circulation route that starts at the southern entrance links the ground floor plaza to the fifth level. The 24-hour circulation loop strengthens the connection between the exterior and interior whilst encouraging urban dialogue.

The design process has responded to the challenging site location and technical restraints while embedding the rich history and cultural heritage of Yiwu into the architectural design. The development is set to become the largest urban complex with a combination of large-scale retail, dining and entertainment facilities. Additionally, a landscaped square, indoor and outdoor pedestrian streets and an underground car park will be provided. This development aims to offer multiple experiences to visitors by integrating shopping, dining, culture and leisure into one destination. It will also introduce a number of public and cultural spaces which will blend into the existing urban fabric in continuing the development of Yiwu’s rich cultural heritage.
