Project Statement

On a steep and challenging site, a peaceful sanctuary away fromthe hustle and bustle of city life wasrequired.  In two small and precisegestures, the landscape intervention creates a safe and holisticenvironment for celebrating essential blissful moments.

“A breath of fresh air. The success of this design is all about thesimple ground plane. There are so many beautiful gestures, it’sextraordinary design with a limited palette. The small, newlyplanted pine trees will mature into a fabulous bosque. There are somany integrated transitions among the living spaces that weredesigned by the landscape architect. The designers made theinclusion of security elements look effortless. ”
