刘伟力简介

刘伟力，笔名微力，江西新余人。书画家，作家，师从赖少其先生。近年从事教师系列小说创作，写时代写变迁，写人性写命运。

篆隶古朴厚重，别具一格。草书奔放老到，气势非凡。绘画作品笔墨清新，尤擅画荷。姓名联格调高雅，堪称一绝。2012年为星云大师撰写姓名联一一星耀天外,云留山中。出版有《名句人格与书法风骨》、《现代公共关系》、《到深圳求职》、《人文阅读》等书籍多种。2000年以来，在广州深圳海南香港等地，多次举办个人书画展及艺术收藏展，作品被海内外多家艺术机构收藏。2013年《中华国粹》封面人物。《中国收藏》誉其为一一实力派，国学底，文人气，多面手 。

2018年，赴美国西雅图波特兰进行文化艺术访问交流。作者目前定居在美国波特兰。

Weili Liu, which means “great power”, has a pseudonym name sounds the same as Wei Li, yet with a different meaning of “negligible power”. Thus a humorist, a writer, and an artist, was from Xing Yu, Jiangxi, China. The author was an apprentice of Shao qi Lai (1915-2000), a famous artist from Guangdong, China. Most recently, he wrote a series of novels about teachers and their dramatic lives in a turbulent era of Mao’s China.

Also he is a calligrapher who has a unique style—his seal and official calligraphy are classic, strong, and elegant; his cursive calligraphy is bold, classic, and untrammeled with an extraordinary strength. His water color paintings are elegant with an innocent purity, especially his paintings of lotus. What most excellent speciality of his is to make elegant couplets or short poems for people’s names. For instance, in 2012, he wrote a poem for Master Xing Yun (which means “Master Star Cloud”), as “Stars shin upon the sky; Clouds stay over the mountains”. So charming and poetic!

Since the year of 2000, he had numerous art exhibitions in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Nanhai in Guang Dong, China. His work were collected by the art agents and museums in China, as well as overseas. In 2013, he was on the cover page of magazine of “China Quintessence”. He was described as a solid artist, with multi-functional talents and rooted deeply in traditional Chinese culture background, by the magazine of “ China Collection”.

He visited Seattle and Portland as a visiting artist in 2018; he lives in Portland currently.
