Hermitage is not onlythe greatest Russian museum of art, but is also an imperial residence builtmany years ago. Today, thanks to Andrey (blogger deletant), we have a chance toenjoy the interiors of the palace, including those used once by the tsar’s family.
隐宫（法语，冬宫的别称）不仅是俄罗斯最大的博物馆，多少年前也是皇帝居所。如今Andrey将带领我们一探冬宫内部，感受当年沙皇家族的生活场景。
First of all, thepalace represents a baroque masterpiece whose author is the great Rastrellihimself.
宫殿本身就是一件巴洛克风格杰作，其设计者是拉斯特雷利。
In front of thepalace is the famous Dvortsovaya (Palace) Square.
宫殿前方是著名的冬宫广场。
On the other side ofthe square is General Headquarters, with a famous sculpture on the arch.

This one has been themain flagstaff of the country for a long time.

The roof of thepalace is beautified by numerous sculptures and vases.

The main staircase iscalled the Jordanian one.

It was named thisafter the Epiphany holiday when the sacred procession came down its steps tothe Neva river for plunging into an ice hole (called “Jordan” in Russian).
由于主显节那天人们会去涅瓦河跳冰窟，以纪念耶稣曾在约旦河受洗的典故，楼梯因而得名“约旦楼梯”。
Initially built byRastrelli, the staircase burnt down in 1837 and was later restored by thearchitect Stasov.
楼梯最初由拉斯特雷利建造，于1937年被烧毁，随后由建筑师斯塔索夫重建。

It was designed byA.P. Bryullov for the wedding of the future emperor, Alexander II in 1841.

The loggia of Raphaelwas made in the 1780s by the architect, Giacomo Quarenghi, at the order ofempress Catherine II. They imitate the gallery of the Vatican Palace paintedaccording to the sketches of Raphael.

Crimson boudoir ofEmpress Maria Alexandrovna, spouse of Alexander II. It was created in 1853 inthe style of the “second” baroque.
亚历山大二世的皇后，玛丽亚·亚历山德罗芙娜深红色的闺房。按照“第二”巴洛克的风格建造于1853年。
Right over theboudoir was a room for maids of honour – the empress could hear sounds offootsteps of children born by Catherine Dolgorukaya – a long-period mistress ofAlexander II.
这间闺房的边上就是亚历山大二世的情妇，女大公叶卡特琳娜·米哈伊洛芙娜·多尔戈鲁卡娅的房间——皇后可以听见多尔戈鲁卡娅生的孩子的脚步声。
The decorations arereally impressive however knowing the family drama that happened here manyyears ago brings on a gloomy mood.

Hanging Garden of theSmall Hermitage. By the way, the workers of the museum used it as a vegetablegarden that helped many people to survive in the time of the Siege ofLeningrad.
小隐宫的空中花园。在列宁格勒围城战期间，博物馆的工人曾把这里改造成一个菜园以帮助人们活命。
