【摘要】 传统中医理论“肝肾同源”最早见于《内经·素问》，非常精确地定义了“肝”与“肾”的生理、病理关系。经历代医家不断实践、阐述、总结，该理论发展到明末清初，由当代的杰出医学大家李中梓创立了指导肝、肾疾病治疗的“肾病治肝、肝病治肾、肾肝同治”的临床治疗法则，得到实质性地升华。经过笔者20多年的实践和观察总结出，肝病晚期，肝功能下降后，不能有效灭活雌激素，致使雄激素水平降低，妨碍了肝脏对蛋白质的合成，最后导致血液中白蛋白水平严重降低，继而使血浆渗透压升高而产生腹水。在应用中药治疗时使用鹿茸补肾生精填髓，能有效激活脑垂体，促进性腺系统分泌足量雄激素，有效拮抗和促进雌激素的代谢，确保肝脏合成蛋白质功能的恢复，这就是“肝肾同源”、“肝病治肾”的内在本质。
