Antarctica has had its highest recorded temperature of 18.3°C, beating 2015 s record of 175c. The Antarctic Peninsula, where this week’ s reading was taken at the Argentine(阿根廷) research base Esperanza, is among the world’ s fastest warming regions（区域）, rising 3°C over the past 50 years. Some 87%of the glaciers（冰川） along its west coast are retreating（后退） rapidly.
