Cherry Tree

Over your shoulder, please don't mind me if my eyes have fallen onto your magazine for I've been watching and wondering why your face is changing with every line you read. All those lines and circles, to me, a mystery. Eve pull down the apple and give a taste to me. If she could it would be wonderful, but my pride is in the way. I cannot read to save my life, I'm so ashamed to say.

I live in silence, afraid to speak of my life in darkness because I cannot read. For all those lines and circles, to me, a mystery. Eve pull down the apple and give a taste to me. If she could it would be wonderful. Then I wouldn't need someone else's eyes to see what's in front of me. No one guiding me.

It makes me humble to be so green at what every kid can do when he learns A to Z, but all those lines and circles just frighten me and I fear that I'll be trampled if you don't reach for me. Before I run I'll have to take a fall. And when I pick myself up, so slowly I'll devour every one of those books in the Tower of Knowledge.

　　越过你的肩，请不要责怪我，如果我的眼光落在你的杂志上。我一直在观察并且疑惑：为什么你的脸，会随着你阅读的每一行字而不断地变幻。所有这一条条一圈圈，对我来说，是神秘的。夏娃摘下苹果让我尝尝味道。如果她能够，那该多好，而我的自尊妨碍了这些。我不会阅读，以此拯救自己的一生。说出这点来我是多么羞愧。

　　在寂静无声中活着，黑暗里我不敢谈论自己的生活，因为，我，还不会阅读。那一条条一圈圈，对我来说，是神秘的。夏娃摘下苹果让我尝尝味道。如果她能够，那该多好；那样，就再不需要别人的眼睛，帮我看看前面会有什么；再不需要什么人，指点我。

　　从A念到Z，这是每一个孩子都会的事，而我却不会，这让我自卑。所有这一条条一圈圈，它们吓住了我，让我感到恐惧。如果你不把手伸过来，我会被人践踏。而还没等我逃开，我一定会先跌倒在地。然后我自己爬起来，慢慢地我将吞下，知识塔的书堆里，的每一本书。
