Star Of The County Down（星子姑娘）是一首爱尔兰叙事民谣。故事大约发生在北爱尔兰邓恩郡班布里奇镇附近。它以一个年青男子的口吻，讲述他与一位明艳仿若星辰的女子偶遇，以及对她的迷恋。歌曲的最后，男子想象这位女子坐在火炉旁，成了他的新娘——一个典型的古老故事。
这首歌的曲调与英国民谣Kingsfold十分相似，其旋律与爱尔兰另一首民谣My Love Nell（内尔，我的爱）一致。My Love Nell讲述的是年轻男子邂逅内尔，心生爱慕，后者却最终移民去了美国，故事无疾而终。内尔来自邓恩郡（County Down），或许正是因为这一点，Star Of The County Down（星子姑娘）的词作者，爱尔兰的Cathal McGarvey (1866–1927)，才会把歌中故事的地点同样设定在邓恩郡吧。
