　　1.The phrase “vol de mort”， in French， can be looselytranslated as “flight of death”， in reference to Voldemort’s questfor immortality.

　　2.Professor McGonagall was named after Minerva， Roman goddessof wisdom.

　　3.And Sybill –Professor Trelawney’s first name –is derivedfrom the Greek name Sibylla， meaning “prophetess”.
