为了完整、严谨地表达一个规定，法律文件往往会在一个句子中表述不同的分句，以使意思表达充分。例如：

总之，法律英语中长句的翻译，必须是在全面、准确理解原文句子结构和逻辑关系的基础上，对句子进行“拆分”，并对汉语意思进行“整合”。译者首先要从宏观上统揽全句，将长句“拆分”成短句，然后紧扣原意进行翻译，最后按照逻辑关系把汉语译文“整合”既忠实又通顺的译文。
