A long white sail shows for an instant      
在那大海上淡蓝色的云雾里
Where gleams the sea,an azure streek……    
有一片孤帆在闪耀着白光……
What left it in its homeland distant?       
它寻求什么，在遥远的异地？
In aloen parts what does it seek?……       
它抛下什么，在可爱的故乡？

The billous play, the mast bends,creaking   
波涛在汹涌——海风在呼啸，
The wind,impatient,moans and sighs……      
桅杆弓起了腰轧轧作响……
It's not joy that it's seeking             
它不是在寻求什么幸福
Nor is it from happiness it flies          
也不是逃避幸福而奔向他方！

The blue waves dance,they dance and tremble
下面是比蓝天还清澄的碧波
The sun's bright rays,caress the seas……   
上面是金黄而灿烂的阳光……
And yet for storm it begs,the rebel         
而它，不安地，在祈求风暴，
As if in storm lurked calm and peace        
仿佛是在风暴中才有着安详！
