“I teach beginning through advanced level courses in Ceramics, as well as Special Topic, Problems in Sculpture, Independent Study and Seminar courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Other teaching activities include serving on B.F.A and M.F.A thesis committees, participating in graduate critiques, advising and mentoring art majors, curriculum development, and organizing visiting artist workshops, seminars and conferences. Four of my main goals as a professor are to promote critically engaged art studio research; maintain and elevate the ceramic research laboratory; create unique educational and scholarship opportunities for our students; and promote the University of Kentucky as the major site for ceramic research in the region.”
