◐ 林 靜 和 她 的 詩

最近讀了許多女詩人的詩,例如艾米麗·迪金森,西爾維亞·普拉斯和瑪格麗特·阿特伍德。每一位詩人都是非常不同的。但她們有一個共性:女性的聲音。多是反映當時西方世界婦女的角色、信仰和自尊。這些聲音側重於她們作為女性的抗爭以及生活方面的問題。
現在,當我讀到林靜的詩歌時,我有些驚訝。在她的詩裡,我很難找到女性的特質。她的詩充滿了力量和沉重的意象,幾乎是整個一代人的聲音,女性詩人很難做到這一點。這聲音展示了對黑暗下自由的關注。它描述了來自邪惡的巨大悲劇。在她的詩中,“冬天”代表邪惡,剝奪自由與權力,並壓制所有生命,人們失去自由的呼吸。很顯然,這首詩將驚悚的沉默呈示給了讀者。

冷酷的寒風
似乎永不懂得停歇
而野蠻者和他冥頑的遊戲
依然放縱在大地上
江河早已凍結
饑餓掀起的
騷動

抖驅著昨日的默然

荒涼的峽穀裏
主宰者
是那被扭曲了的古老的傳說

被封鎖了的饑饉的大地和漫長的苦難

在她的長詩《時光剪影》裏,它顯示了非文明的黑暗。她使用“刺”、“血”、“眼淚”等意象,給人留下深刻的莊嚴與肅穆。她應用“金色權杖”來暗示統治者的權利。對於所有這些壓迫和黑暗的場景,詩人用“告別”來旁白,但有諷刺意味的是,她的讀者將這些解釋為被困。除此之外,這促使讀者思考和疑惑,背後是什麼,為什麼?林靜成功地激發讀者不斷思考,使得她的聲音被傾聽。
像其他的評論一樣,我也相信林靜的詩歌顯示了她對人類、以及時代沉重責任的坦率看法。她極具勇氣,敢於傾吐、質疑上述權力,訴求人類的自由和公平。她獨特的聲音將會世代流傳。
◐ Lin Jing and Her Poems

Lately I read many poems written by female poets, such as Emily Dickinson, Sylvia Plath and Margaret Atwood. Each of them is very different. But they all have their common identity that is all of them have the feminine voice. Those voices represent the role of women, their belief and self-esteem in western world according to their times. Those voices focused on their struggle of being woman and the issues of life.
Now I read Lin Jing and her poems, I am a little surprised. Through her poems, I hardly find the feminine identity. Her poems are full of power and heavy images which grant the voice as a whole generation that it doesn’t matter its gender. The voice shows that one concerns about the freedom under the darkness. It depicts the huge tragedy derived from evils. In her poem, “Winter” represent the evils shed their power to suppress all the livings. There is no breath of freedom. This poem extends the silence of fear into the readers.
Here is the translation of her poem.
Winter Day
It begins.
Cold chilly winds
seem to never stop,
as the brute and his cruel games
oppress the earth.
Rivers are already frozen.
Hunger surges consistently,
agitating yesterday’s muteness.
In the sky of all dreams,
bleak frosts cohere into stars.
Beyond remote valleys,
the domination is the twisted old legend.
Things in traps never change.
Lies upon lies, again and again,
trick and deceive
the sealed starving earth
under deep sufferings.
In her long poem, “Time Channel”, it shows the uncivilized darkness. She uses the images of “thorns”, “blood”, “tears” to make the solemn impression. She applies the “golden wand” to imply the power from the controller. All those oppressive and dark scenes, the poet narrates to “farewell”, but ironically her readers interpret all those are trapped. And beyond, this makes readers think and wonder, what is behind, why is that? Lin Jing successfully challenges her readers to think and makes her voice heard.
Like other comments, I also believe Lin Jing’s poems show her frank view on human and heavy responsibility on her times. She pours her courage to question the power above and expresses her request of freedom and fair judgment. Her unique voice will be heard beyond the generations.

刺穿旗面
流出了液體
滴往城牆下
花兒因此而盛開
四處充滿飄逸的腥腥香氣

Memory
On the ancient
royal castle,
a flag hangs.
At dawn, tiny needles
from the countryside
pierce the flag.
Its liquid outflows
and drips along the old wall,
helping flowers beneath to bloom.
Fragrant fills the air all around.
Again a horn blows then halts,
leaving the echo
hover above
without stopping.

林靜,旅美詩人,現居紐約。1973年出生於昆明,後成長於廣東。1990年開始寫詩,次年移居北京,2012年移居美國。2006年與黃秋遠發起創辦《新文學》雜誌並擔任主編,曾任多個畫展策展人、主持全球徵文活動、兩度獲美國西蒙斯國際詩會邀請、主編“中國國畫家系列叢書”並撰寫樂評,早年音樂作品常被北京國家大劇院和中央歌劇院演出。2015年應北京中華世紀壇中秋國際詩歌節藝術總監、詩人嚴力先生邀請為詩歌節創作組詩《月光曲》並在開幕式上朗誦。曾三次獲美國作曲家、作家及出版家協會“年度作家奖”。現任國際音樂交流協會藝術顧問。
