一、短语：

16.strong wind :强风 →形容风大用strong :adj / strongly :adv ,具体用形容词还是副词要看修饰的是名词“风”，还是动词“吹风的吹”

17.a heavy rainstorm : 大暴雨→ 这里“雨”是名词“rainstorm”，所以用形容词 heavy来修饰，如果是修饰动词“下雨→rain”则用heavily 副词来修饰。

18.feellike :给...的感觉；感觉好像... →feel like + 名词短语/从句；feel +adj

19.beat...against :拍打……

20.tryto do sth :尝试做某事   try doing sth :尽力做某事  tryone’s best to do sth :尽某人最大的努力做某事

21.atfirst :起初：首先            22.fall asleep：进入梦乡：睡着

1. Black cloudswere making the sky very dark. 乌云把整个天空都压得黑黑的。



make the sky dark使天空黑暗，make用法小结: make意思是“使成为”、“使作为”、“使变成”，有以下表达方式：

1) make +宾语+名词 例如：Most pop singers makemusic their career.

大多数流行歌手把音乐当作他们的职业。

2) make +宾语+do  例如：Nothing canmake me turn against my country．什么也不能使我背叛我的祖国。但改成被动语态时，则要加上to。例如：Children should be made to understand theimportance of saving water．应该让孩子们理解节水的重要性。

3) make +宾语+形容词  例如：Internet makes our lives easy .

互联网使我们的生活变得容易和方便。

4) make +形式宾语it +形容词+to do sth（to do 作真正的宾语）

2.    Ben was helpinghis mom make dinner when the rain began to beat heavily againstthe windows. 当雨开始剧烈地敲打窗户的时候，本正在帮他的妈妈做完饭。

（1）fall asleep 进入梦乡，fall的过去式是fell。



（2）die down 逐渐变弱，die 的过去式是died, 形容词是dead, 名词是death, 动名词是dying. die 属于短暂性东西，不能与一段时间连用。
