“国歌”不是＇National song＇！这些英文表达你不能不知道！

既然今天是10月1日，那丸子就跟大家说说国庆节相关的英文表达吧。

国庆节

英文为National Day，或National Day Holiday。

例句：

①What are you planning to do during this National Day Holiday?

今年国庆节，你有什么安排？

②On National Day red flags are hung out of every window.  

国庆节那天,每个窗口都挂出红旗。

这一天是中华人民共和国成立的日子：The founding of the People's Republic of China.

注意：这里found不是find的过去式,而是一个动词原形, To found: 成立。

国歌不是national song

National songs可不是国歌，它可以表达赋予爱国情怀的歌曲，这样歌词也不用丸子多说啦，大家肯定多多少少听过一些的。

国歌的正确表达是：National anthem

国歌；赞歌；颂歌

例句：

①All those present were standing solemnly when the national anthem was played.

奏国歌时全场肃立。

②As he stood on the winner's rostrum, he sang the words of the national anthem.

祖国的英文表达

祖国的英文表达，其实上学的时候应该都学习过的。你可以说：motherland或homeland。

不过需要注意的是motherland有更浓烈的感情色彩，homeland比较中性。

例句：

Children are the flowers of our motherland.

儿童是祖国的花朵。

Many are planning to return to their homeland.

很多人正计划回到自己的祖国去。
