2. 只同积极向上的朋友来往，整天抱怨的人会把你也拖下水的（Keep only cheerful friends.The grouches pull you down）。
3. 不断学习提高，多学些和计算机，手艺，园艺，等等有关的技艺。永远不要让大脑闲着。闲着的大脑是魔鬼的温床，而魔鬼的名字是阿尔茨海默氏症的（Keep learning:Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening,whatever. Never let the brain get idle."An idle mind is the devil's workshop"，And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!）。
4. 享受简单的事物（Enjoy the simple things）。
5. 多笑，大笑，笑很长时间，直到你喘不过气来为止。假如你有朋友能够让你这样痛快地笑，一定要多花时间同他/她在一起（Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER).
6. 允许自己流泪，但要在悲伤以后坚强地继续前行。整个生命里，最终和我们相伴走完人生的只有我们自己。当你活着时，一定要好好地生活（The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive）。
7. 尽情体验自己的所爱：无论它是家庭、宠物、纪念品、音乐、植物，兴趣爱好，还是其它。家永远是你的避难所（Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.Your home is your refuge）。
8. 珍惜你的身体健康：如果是很好的，好好保持；如果不是很稳定，要争取改善提高；如果已经不是你自己可以改善的了，那要求得帮助（Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it.If it is unstable, improve it.If it is beyond what you can improve, get help）。
9. 不要有负罪感。你可以去商场转一圈，甚至到远一点的地方，或更甚至去国外旅游一趟，但不要让自己去到那负罪的旅途（Don't take guilt trips.Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is）。
10. 告诉你爱着的人们你爱他们，不要放过任何一个告诉他们的机会（Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity）。
