A dad has been arrested on suspicion of murderamid claims he slit his young son's throat before slicing off the dead boy's genitals - because he wet the bed.
According to reports, Tang Minghua, 39, was at the end of his tether after his wife walked out, leaving him to raise their nine-year-old son, Kao.
The woman is said to have left Minghua for a new man, taking their daughter with her, because her husband never did any work and spent all day at home drinking.
Kao, who was reportedly upset at having to live with his dad and missed his mother, had started wetting the bed - which induced rage in his father.
In a recent incident, Minghua is said to have flown off the handle when his son wet the bed shortly after telling him he didn't need the toilet.
The machete-wielding manallegedly dragged the boy out of their home in the county of Zhenxiong in China's Yunnan province, and told him to empty his bladder.
When Kao didn't do as he was asked, Minghua began hacking at his neck, killing him. Afterwards, he chopped off his private parts and went back to bed.
The alarm was raised by neighbours who spotted the dead boy's body lying outside the front of the house covered in blood in the village.
Minghua has been arrested for murder, and was heard blaming his ex-wife for what had happened as he was taken away by neighbours.
