Thisis a simple but enlightening cartoon: beside an over-turned bottle stands a pessimisticguy, with great disappointment/ desperationon his face, uttering a remark: “Oh, it’s over/all screwed up!”; however,the other youngster stoops down to pick up the bottle, with great joy andexcitement, commenting: “Nice, there is still something left!” Although it isthe same bottle, these two guys’attitudes totally differ.
Asa matter of fact, intelligent people in large numbers have come to realize theimportance of keeping an optimisticmind. Such a scenario can be naturallyassociated with a host of successful individuals, and this success is best characterized by theiroptimism. To my understanding, optimismcan be likened to a journey, which leads to success. A case in point is Lin Dan. Asa vital quality, optimism brings him power, arouses his enthusiasm forcompetition and helps him to gain/acquire victories. However, today, an increasing number of teenagerslose confidence in front of difficulties. Thistrend is particularly worth concern for the social background that they focus eyesightmerely on hazards/adversities, ignoringthe hope behind difficulties. It is theirpessimism that leads them to loseopportunities in competition.
Asa youngster, I am convinced that it is of great necessity to cultivate a positive attitude towards life. For one thing, the society as a wholeshould forge a wholesome atmosphere to appreciate and advocate facingsetbacks with optimistic minds. Foranother, it is advisable for youngsters to enhance their confidence byacquiring more knowledge, competence and skills. Do bear in mind: no optimism, no success.

事实上，很多聪明的人都已经意识到保持乐观心态的重要性。图片中的情节使我们很自然的联系到了很多成功人士，他们成功的典型特点就是乐观心态。在我看来，乐观能被比喻成一条通向成功的道路。一个典型例子就是林丹，作为一种重要素质，乐观带给临到力量，唤起他对比赛的热情，帮助他获得胜利。然而，今天，在困难面前，越来越多年轻人失去了自信。这种趋势很值得注意，因为他们只看到了逆境，忽略了困难背后的希望。正是他们的悲观导致他们在竞争中丧失机会。
作为一名年轻人，我相信有必要培养积极的生活态度。一方面，社会作为一个整体应该欣赏和倡导乐观面对困难的思想。另外一方面，年轻人自身应通过获取更多知识、能力和技能来提升自信。牢牢记住：没有乐观，没有成功。
