A year ago, my son Michael, who had just graduated from high school, had to choose between two summer jobs. in（一段时间）之后：
It’s two o’clock. I’ll come in an hour (= at three o’clock).
In an hour there was a telegram back.

in表示“在…过程中”、“在…时”（多跟动名词）

如果表示“在过去某一段时间之后”，用in或after均可。例如：
The concert began in/after ten minutes. 音乐会在10分钟后开始了。
我们知道：after + 时间段 = 时间段 + later，与这个结构匹配的动词常用一般过去时或过去进行时，但是我们从上面的几个实例也看到：in + 时间段，动词与之匹配也是可以使用一般过去时的（尽管我们教学中常常说 in + 时间段，多用一般将来时）。
如此可以说明本题目的答案设计是不完整的。
