When I was 12, I had a friend. She liked to point out my shortcomings. Sometimes she said I was thin, sometimes she said I was lazy. Sometimes she said I wasn't a good student. Sometimes she said I talked too much, and so on. At last, I became very angry. I cried ane told my fathen about it .
He listened quietly , and then he asked, "Are the things she said ture or not? Mary, don't you ever want to know what you are really like? Go and make a list of everything she said and write down the things which are ture."
I did as he told me. To my surprise, I found that about half the things she said were ture.
I brought the list back to my father. He didn't take it. " That's just for you. " He said. "
You know the truth about yourself better than anyone else. When something people say about you is ture, you'll find it'll be helpful to you. Listen to the truth and do what you think is right." In our life we often meet with some troubles and we often go to someone and ask for advice. But you should treasure the advice all your life.
