IV. Identifying Cause and Effect

（区分原因和结果）

每当你观察某些事物或是看书时，你都会进行比较和对照。

原因是指事情发生的起因，通常可以采取问个“为什么”来找出事情的起因。答案就是原因。

有时一些线索词可以帮助你区分一件事究竟是原因还是结果。Because,for this reason和since这些词都表明原因。而so,as a result和consequently这些词则表明结果。

IV. 区分原因和结果

1.Maya had a loose tooth. She wiggled it, but it would not come out. One day at lunch she was eating an apple. She felt a little twinge. Her tooth had finally come out.

What caused Maya's tooth to come out?

2.Bert and Tim were best friends. They were always together. They lived on the same street. They were in the same class. They liked to play the same sports. Some people even thought they were brothers.
