As Lord Mayor of the City of London and the principal Ambassador of UK’s Financial and Professional Services sector at home and abroad, I’d like to wish everyone around the world a very happy and prosperous Lunar New Year.
The Year of the Dog is special because it symbolizes loyalty, honesty, and above all, trust – three things that I want to see more of in the industry that I represent.
In March, I’ll be coming to China with a business delegation when I’ll be saying just this, along with the message that London is open for business and keen to be involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. I’m really, really looking forward to it.
Again, let me wish you all the very best for the New Year. Gou Nian Da Ji! Gong Xi Fa Cai! And above all, Xin Nian Kuai Le!
