1. Reservation 预订

You：Is there any typical local restaurant in this area?

附近有没有正宗当地的餐厅？

Your friend: Yeah, Yummy Restaurant is good, but you need to book in advance. Here is the phone number.

Yummy餐厅还不错，但需要提前预订。这是电话号码。

You:  Ok. I will phone the restaurant and reserve a  table.

我来打电话预订位置。

(over the phone)

You: Hello, I'd like to book a table for 2, please.

喂，我想订一张两个人的桌子。

Reception: For what time, Madam?

女士，几点？

You: Around 6. 00 p.m tomorrow.

明晚6点。

Reception: I am afraid we don't have any tables open at that time.

这个时间我们没有座位了。

You: How about 7:30?

那7:30呢？

Reception: Ok, then. May I have your name please, Madam?

可以的。请问您的姓名？

You: Keiko Lowe.

Keiko 刘

Reception: Ms Lowe, we will hold the table for you for 10 minutes. Please be sure to arrive before 7:40.

刘女士，我们为您保留10分钟座位，请您务必在7:40之前到。

You: By the way, do you have a dress code?

顺便问一句，有着装要求吗？

Reception: No sports wear.

不要穿运动装。

2.Entering the Restaurant进入餐厅

Waiter： Have you made a reservation?

请问您有预订吗？

You: Yeah, I am Keiko Lowe. I reserved a table for 2 at 7:30.

有的，我是刘Keiko， 我订了一个7:30的二人座。

Waiter: Your table is ready now,  this way, please.

您的座位已经准备好了，这边请。

You: Can we change to the non-smoking area?

我们可以换到禁烟区吗？

Waiter: Would you like to sit over there near the door?

你们可以做到靠着门的地方吗？

You: Ok. We will take it.

可以啊，我们就坐在那里。

You: I don't have a reservation. Can we take the  table by the window?

我没有预订，我们可以坐在靠窗那个位置吗？

Waiter: Sorry, that table has been booked. Here is your table. Is it all right?

抱歉，那张桌子已经有人预订了。这里有一张桌子，可以吗？

Waiter:Sorry, all our tables are full now.

抱歉，我们所有的座位现在都满了。

You: How long do we have to wait?

我们要等多久呢？

Waiter: Around 20 minutes.

20分钟左右。
