Face to face communication

With the development of modern technology, the ways of people’s communication are becoming more and more various and complicated. Face-to-face communication means people interact with each other without any barriers. In the past, people only can communicate with others in this way; however, nowadays, more and more people, especially young persons, get contact with their families and friends by using telephone, e-mail, text massages , letters and on-line chats.

It is true that the advanced communicational technologies get the distance between human-beings closer, but in some way, they also elongate the distance, as people are no longer need to keep connect face-to-face, which means strange and unbelievable. Hence the best way of communication is face-to-face.

Firstly, face-to-face communication could make people directly know the actual personality of people, avoiding being deceived by others. Some cheaters may take the advantages of indirect communication ways, such as telephone, Msn and QQ to deceive the innocent people. By contrast, if you knew someone by face-to-face, you could recognize his or her personality; at least you could realize whether he or she is harmful to you.

Secondly, by evaluating the real person, people will make the evaluation more credible. From one’s appearance and behavior, people will get a conclusion whether he or she is a nice person. Most companies conduct the face-to-face interview to evaluate the interviewee not only from his answer to the problem, but also from his behavior and the degree of confidence. Thirdly, most people still like to accept the close distance communication, because it is involved in many emotional and personal sensations, which is better for interpersonal relationship. Because this kind of communication not only involves the verbal expression, but also participates in many non-verbal expression, such as smile, touch, eye contact and so on. Form these non-verbal expressions, we could feel the emotion of the person who we are talking with.

In conclusion, although as the development of advanced technology, people have many ways to keep connect with each other. However, the most sincere, effective and impressive way that most people still like to use is face-to-face communication.
