Prof. Ye Man was born as Liu Shilun in 1914 in the Hunan Province, China.
She graduated in Economics from Beijing University in 1939 and did her graduate studies at the University of Chicago in 1944.
In 1967, she became associate professor of philosophy at Fu Jen Catholic University.
In her middle age, Prof. Ye started to study buddhism in order to understand life and death. Her mentors include Nan Huai-Chin and Yogi Chen (Chen Chien Ming).
She died at 10 a.m. on Wesdnesday February 15, 2017 in Los Angeles.
Ye Man is one of the leading speakers on Chinese culture, especially on Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.
