I'm caught between a rock and a hard place.
= I'm in a pickle.
= I'm in a difficult situation.

🔸Hank and Jane were stuck between a rock and a hard place when their families couldn't agree on a date for their wedding.
当双方家庭对婚期意见不一时，汉克和小珍感到左右为难。
🔹be in a pickle　　陷于窘境
🔸Don't worry if you are in a pickle between your subordinates and your boss because you won't be able to please everybody all the time.
如果你夹在下属跟老板之间左右为难的话，别担心，因为你本来就无法总是让每个人都满意。
⭕其他关于「陷入困境」的英文用法：
(1) hit a bad patch　　遇到困难，陷入困境
a bad patch 是指一段不好过的时间，习惯上前面会加上 hit。也可以用 a rough patch、a rocky patch，意思皆同。
例：
The young couple's marriage has hit a bad patch.
这对年轻夫妻的婚姻触礁。

(2) in a pinch　　在紧急关头；在困难的时候
例：
I don't have a lot of cash, but I can lend you a little in a pinch.
我没有很多现金，但在紧要关头我可以借你一点。

(3) in a jam　　陷入麻烦∕困境
例：
I'm in a jam. I'm going on a business trip to Australia tomorrow but I can't find my passport anywhere.
我现在有麻烦。我明天就要去澳洲出差，却到处都找不到我的护照。

(4) in a bind　　身处困境
例：
Borrowing money may put you in a real bind.
借钱可能会使你陷入真正的窘境。
