BRUSSELS, March 18 (Xinhua) -- The eurozone's total trade deficit stood at 3.9 billion euros (about 5.0 billion U.S. dollars) in January, the European Union's (EU) statistics bureau Eurostat said on Monday.Seasonally adjusted exports and imports rose by 2.0 percent and by 3.1 percent respectively in January as against December 2012.The 17-member single currency zone registered a trade surplus of 10.8 billion euros in December 2012.For the wider 27-nation EU, trade balance for January 2012 recorded a deficit of 16.5 billion euros, compared to 24.9 billion euros a year ago. Trade deficit stood at 1.1 billion euros in December 2012.Seasonally adjusted export and import in the EU increased by 2.9 percent and 1.3 percent respectively in January as against December 2012.We Recommend:
