The FBI and other U.S. Federal departments are reported investigating a case in which ateen has hacked into CIA Director John Brennan’s AOL account.
The 13-year-old hacker told New York Post that he obtained a 47-page application for top-secret security clearance from John Brennan’s personal AOL email account. Otherdocuments obtained included social security numbers and personal information of morethan a dozen top American intelligence officials, as well as a government letter about theuse of “harsh interrogation techniques” on terrorism suspects.
The hacker posted some of the stolen documents and a portion of Brennan’s contact list onTwitter last week. He claimed that he obtained access to the AOL email by posing as aVerizon worker to trick CIA employees into revealing their chief’s personal information.The hacker also used information such as the four digits of Brennan’s bank card to resetthe password on the AOL account.
In an interview to the New York Post, the hacker said he is critical of U.S. foreign policyand a supporter of Palestine.
