The 17th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) kicked start its fifth plenary session today.
The historic plenum may bring a third turning point to the changing Chinese society. In addition to stressing the continued reforms in the economic field, great importance might also attached to social and political reforms.
Good governance, social equality and justice are likely to be highlighted in proposals for China's 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015), as part of the country's efforts to ease social conflict, and to build up a harmonious society with “People Orientation”.
