香格纳M50 | 何伟个展11月6日开幕

香格纳M50于2021年11月6日荣幸推出艺术家何伟的同名个展。作为艺术家在上海的第一次个展，本次展览将集中呈现何伟近期创作的绘画作品。

ShanghART M50 is pleased to present a solo exhibition of He Wei that opens on 6 November, 2021. Featuring his most recent paintings, this will be the artist's first solo show in Shanghai.

自2012年起，实验性的抽象语言持续贯穿于何伟的实践，而展览的新作再次体现出他对色彩的高度敏感，以及面对混沌与清晰时随机且准确的判断力。基于颜料本身流淌、渗透、叠加的失控属性，艺术家借助各种工具和技法进行人为介入，在看似感性化的画面中构建了“某种令人迷惑的确定性”。

Since 2012, experimental abstractions have continued to run through He Wei's practice, while the new body of work here again reflects his high sensitivity to colour, as well as his random yet accurate judgment in the face of chaos and clarity. Based on the out-of-control qualities of oil paint, such as flowing, penetrating, and superimposing, the artist employs diverse tools and techniques to construct a particular kind of ' confusing certainty' in the seemingly emotive picture.

这种“确定性”并非不容置疑，但却是稍纵即逝的。在反复的探索中，这种特有的秩序让艺术家的作品逐渐形成了一种令人印象深刻的、带有“何伟”印记的审美体验。

This 'certainty' is not indisputable, but always fleeting. Through repeated explorations, the unique order it created on the canvas has gradually yielded an impressive aesthetic experience for the viewer with imprints of 'He Wei'.

 About the Artist 

何伟，1980年出⽣于新疆，2005年毕业于四川美术学院油画专业，现生活和工作于北京。近年展览包括：一起做陌生人，Q21，维也纳，奥地利（2021）；拼拼凑凑的利维坦，桥项目，洛杉矶（2020）& Luhring Augustine，纽约，美国（2019）；何伟 & 唐茂宏 - 双个展，香格纳北京（2019）；何伟：原⾊，C-空间，北京（2016）；何伟：⽭盾，望远镜艺术家⼯作室，北京（2015）；何伟：⽆法触及的地⽅，季节画廊，北京（2010）；新界面 3：搜索未来，刘海粟美术馆，上海（2007）等。

He Wei was born in 1980 in Xinjiang, graduating from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Oil Painting Department in 2005. He currently lives and works in Beijing.
