思维模式(mindset):The term mindset represents the set of beliefs and assumptions we hold about ourselves, others, and the world. It’s mindsets that make all the difference.
(Choice Map ):
1、The Choice Map provides a way of managing how we respond to circumstances and even our own thoughts and feelings. It shows ways to monitor and change our thoughts, feelings, and actions from moment to moment.
2、The Geography of Our Minds(心灵地理):
Moment by moment each one of us is faced with choices.
We can’t control what happens to us but we do have choice about what we do next.
Whenever and whatever we encounter, there are two paths we could follow, each with distinctly different destinations. The Learner path leads upwards to a beautiful bright sun. The Judger path lead s downward to a pool of mud.
3、Imagine that you are the figure standing at the juncture of the paths on the left side of the map. Some thought, feeling, or situation has just happened to you. Relate this to a recent situation in your own life.
Why am I always messing up?(为什么我总是搞得一团糟?)
Why don’t I know how to do this?(为什么我不知道该怎么办?)
Why am I such a failure?(为什么我如此失败?)
What’s wrong with me?(我有病吧?)
Why do awful things keep happening to me?(怎么事情总是跟我过不去?)
Why are they so stupid and frustrating?(他们怎么这么蠢,这么令人失望!)
What’s wrong with them?(他们有病吧?)
Why bother?”(怎么这么烦人?)
What happened?
What do I want—for both myself and others?
What’s useful about this event, and what can I learn?
What is the other person thinking, feeling and wanting?
What assumptions am I making?
What are the facts?(客观事实是什么?)
Am I being responsible?(我对此应该承担什么责任吗?)
What’s possible?(有没有其它可能性?)
What are my choices?(我可以有哪些选择?)
What’s best to do now?(现在做什么对事态发展最好呢?)
As with any map, the Choice Map is a visual reference, in this case to quickly and easily observe the questions you’re asking, and the mindset from which you are asking them. You’ll also recognize the direction your mindset and those questions are likely to lead you.
