Introduction

【概述】

Meniere's disease is caused by labyrinthine hydrops, withparoxysmal light-headedness, undulatrory deafness and tinnitus as its mainsymptoms. The disease prevails in middle-aged people.

梅尼埃病为膜迷路积水所致的以发作性眩晕、波动性耳聋和耳鸣为主要症状的疾病。本病好发于50 岁以前的青壮年。

Thecause of the illness is not very clear, possibly related to the dysfunction fvegetative nerve, endolymphatic dysfunction of absorption, and allergicreaction,etc. Pathologically, the disease mainly manifests as labyrinthineexpansion due to hydrops which causes elevation of endolymphatic pressure. Evenrupture of vestibular membrane and mixture of endolymph and perilymph. Thesmall perforation can heal spontaneously and can also rupture repeatedly andthe big one may form permanent fistula.

本病病因不大明确，可能与自主神经功能紊乱、内淋巴吸收障碍、变态反应等因素有关。病理上主要表现为膜迷路积水膨大，内淋巴压力增高，甚至引起前庭膜破裂，内外淋巴交混。穿孔小者能自愈，亦可反复破裂，穿孔大者可形成永久性瘘道。

Thedisease belongs to the category of “Xuanyun” (vertigo) in TCM.

本病属中医学“眩晕”范畴。
