According to cnx-soft some people got their hands on the kernel sources...given that and the popularity of RK3066 devices there migth a slight chance to get some Linux running on a RK3066 some day.

One more step RK3066 becomes part of Mainline Linux Kernel..sort of Some very basic support has been admitted to the upcoming Linux Kernel 3.11 - still ground work though but good to see progress.
