摔跤运动简介
摔跤（Wrestling）是重竞技运动项目之一，指两人徒手相搏，按一定的规则，以各种技术、技巧和方法摔倒对手，摔跤被公认为是世界上最早的竞技体育运动。
现代摔跤运动起源于希腊，古希腊人非常崇尚摔跤运动。相传，神话中的英雄捷谢伊——雅典民主奠基人，从雅典女神那里学来了摔跤规则，从而发展了摔跤运动。当时有人这样说：“摔跤是最完善、最全面、最协调的一项运动，它是全部体育运动的结晶。”当时希腊有许多著名的哲学家、诗人和军事将领都是摔跤手，如古希腊著名的唯心主义哲学家柏拉图，就是当时的摔跤名将。
在奥运会中占有重要比重的摔跤项目，分为古典式和自由式两个跤种，又统称国际式摔跤。
古典式摔跤，起源于古希腊，以前被称为希腊罗马式摔跤。
公元前2世纪末，罗马帝国出兵侵略希腊。占领者在征服希腊之后，将自己国家原有的摔跤和希腊式摔跤相结合，并在此基础上发展与创新，产生了希腊罗马式摔跤。因为希腊罗马式摔跤出现于希腊奴隶制繁荣阶段，该时期在历史上被称为希腊古典时期，所以，这种摔跤最初被称为古典式摔跤。这项运动在希腊的不断发展和在欧洲其他国家的推广，对古典式摔跤的形成起到了积极的作用。
18世纪90年代，法国一些喜爱这项运动的人自动组织职业班子，到许多地方巡回表演。后来逐步演变成为一种比赛，使古典式摔跤逐渐发展起来。
在古典式摔跤兴起的年代，欧洲又出现了另一种摔跤——自由式摔跤。这种摔跤与古典式摔跤基本相同，差异之处在于选手可以用手臂抱对手的下肢，还可以用腿绊，其技术比古典式更为丰富。
19世纪，英国人制定了较为明确的自由式摔跤规则，所以自由式摔跤最后定型于英国。
古典式摔跤在比赛时，运动员手臂抱对方的头、颈、躯干和上肢，将对方摔倒后并使其双肩触及垫子者为胜，如果在规定的时间内未能出现这种情况的话，则按得分的多少判定名次。比赛时不得抓衣服和不允许进攻对方的下肢。
自由式摔跤可以手足并用，用抱头、抱颈、抱躯干、抱上下肢、缠腿、勾足、挑腿等动作将对方摔倒并使其双肩触垫者为胜，如果在规定的时间内未能出现这种情况的话，则按得分的多少判定名次。比赛时但不许抓衣服和使用反关节、窒息动作。
1912年，在瑞典斯德哥尔摩举行第5届现代奥运会时，国际业余摔跤联合会（FILA）正式成立。根据该会章程规定，古典式摔跤、自由式摔跤被列为国际比赛项目。国际摔联的成立极大地推动了古典式摔跤、自由式摔跤运动在世界范围内的传播，使摔跤运动在五大洲得以蓬勃发展。
