Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl, whose name was Yinggeer. She was a child of poor man and very naughty. When she caught a butterfly, she tore off its two wings and made it crawl like a bug.

从前有一个漂亮的女孩子，她的名字叫英格儿。她是一个穷人的孩子，但是她非常淘气。她捉住一只蝴蝶以后，就撕掉它的两只翅膀，让它像一个小虫子那样爬行。

Her mother used to tell her not to be too naughty, but she didn't listen at all.

她的妈妈常常劝她不要太淘气了。她一点也听不进去。

Then she went to work in a rich family of other village. The family was nice to her and dressed up as pretty as their own child. In this way, Yinggeer was more and more interested in herself, and more and more ridiculous.

后来她到另一个村子的有钱人家里去干活。这家人对她很不错，把她打扮得也像自己的孩子一样美丽漂亮。这样，英格儿就更加觉得自己了不起，越来越胡闹了。

After a year, the hostess said to her:'Yinggeer, you should go to see your parents. I'll give you a loaf of bread, and you give it to your parents, and they must miss you.'

过了一年，女主人对她说：“英格儿，你应该去看看你的父母了。我给你一条长面包，你把它送给你的父母，他们一定很想念你。”

Yinggeer agreed that. She wore the best clothes and the most beautiful new shoes. When she came to a swamp, she had to get past the mud pit, which would stain her clothes and shoes. So she threw the bread on the dirt floor and was ready to walk over it. But when one of her feet fell on that bread, the bread with her went down until she sank to the top of her head.

英格儿同意了。她穿上最好的衣服、最漂亮的一双新鞋。当她来到一片沼泽地的时候，要经过泥巴坑，这样会弄脏她的衣服和鞋子的。于是，她干脆把那块长面包扔到泥巴地上，准备踩着面包走过去。但是，当她的一只脚刚刚踩在那条长面包上，面包和她却一起都沉下去了，直到她沉没了头顶。

The filthy mud surrounded Yinggeer, who clutching her bread tightly, but the bread pulled her down. Finally, Yinggeer went to hell and turned into a rock.

肮脏的淤泥包围着英格儿，她紧紧地踩着面包，可是那条长面包拉着她继续往下沉。英格儿一直沉到地狱里，变成了一块石头。

At this point, she heard her mother crying. Then she heard that hostess said:'Yinggeer is terrible. She shouldn't put her bread under her feet. She's going to be punished!'

这时，她听到母亲的哭泣声。接着，她又听到了那个女主人在说：“英格儿太不像话了，她不该把面包踩在脚下，她是要受到惩罚的！”

'I know I'm wrong now.' Yinggeer said in his heart. 'I shouldn't have put my bread under my feet. I am willing to correct the mistake and ask for forgiveness.'

英格儿在心里说：“我现在知道是我错了，我不该把面包踩在脚下。我愿意改正错误，请求得到人们的原谅。”

When Yinggeer realized she was missing, the light was immediately shot into the darkness of hell. It was taken on Yinggeer, and Yinggeer's stiff body turned into a fog.

当英格儿认识到自己过失的时候，一线光明马上射进了黑暗的地狱里。它照在英格儿的身上，英格儿僵硬的身体变成了一阵烟雾。

After the smoke, a bird flew out of hell, and the little bird was Yinggeer and returned to a world of light and warmth.

烟雾过后，一只小鸟飞出了地狱，这只小鸟就是英格儿，重新回到了光明温暖的世界里。
