王沂东谈王剑的绘画
王剑是一个沉静的人，他的作品笼罩在一种戏剧性的氛围中，这得益于他在中央戏剧学院学习过的经历。在一个张扬个性的时代，王剑通过自己的绘画语言来寻找一种属于永恒的品性。
同样，在他的作品中你可以发现多重精神的叠加：西方审美的平衡和东方文化的情结以及对于美好事物的人文主义情怀。对这些情感的追思和提炼，在他运用纯熟的油画透明画法和直接画法的笔触中得以完美的表达。他没有简单追求时代的特征，而是着眼于作品要表达的审美意味。
艺术确实不是技巧，但是必须通过技巧来表达。绘画若不能驾驭与调动绘画要素，不能摸透绘画特性所具有的妙处，还能谈得上什么表现水准吗？执着地坚守风格，执着地沉醉在多种绘画材料表现力的探索中。
这就是王剑，一个执着且深爱着艺术的画家。

Wang Yidong talks about Wang Jian's paintings
Wang Jian was a quiet man, his work enveloped in a dramatic atmosphere, thanks to his experience at Central Academy of Drama. In an age of publicity and individuality, Wang Jian sought a timeless quality through his own painting language.
Similarly, in his works, you can find the superposition of multiple spirits: the balance of Western Aesthetics and the complex of eastern culture, and the humanistic feelings of good things. The memorial and refinement of these emotions can be expressed perfectly by his skillful oil painting, transparent painting and direct brushwork. Instead of simply pursuing the characteristics of the times, he focuses on the aesthetic implications of the work.
Art is not really a skill, but it must be expressed by technique. If you can't handle and mobilize the painting elements of painting, beauty can not through the characteristics of painting, but also talk about what level of performance? 熟知我作品的人都知道我的画呈现的是一个具象世界，就像我喜欢抽象不得的生活一样。就绘画而言，我不喜欢变态的张扬和畸形的挤压。美好的艺术语言应该是超越时空般的平凡，带给人们安定和在安定之中的思索。我崇尚美好的事物，并通过绘画的手段呈现出来。远离世俗尘嚣，固守一方净土。

Artist Statement
Anyone familiar with my work knows that my painting presents a figurative world, just as I like abstract life. As far as painting is concerned, I don't like abnormal publicity and abnormal extrusion. The fine art language should be beyond the ordinary of time and space, bringing people's stability and thinking in stability. I believe in good things and show them through the means of painting. Far away from the mundane world, to a place.
