• Tropicos数据库中的Camunium Roxb. (1814)不是新名称，而是在芸香科九里香属（Murraya）的异名Camunium Adans.之下发表了裸名C. chinensis （该植物实为米仔兰Aglaia odorata），因此是多余记录。
• Chloroxylon Rumph. ex Scop. (1777), stat. dub. et hom. illeg. non Chloroxylum P. Browne (1756)原始描述过于简略，已难考证是什么植物，可能属于楝科。该名称已经判定为晚出同名而不合法。
• Tropicos数据库中的Eutrichilia C. DC.是组加词。
• Geruma Forssk. (1775)的模式种G. alba产阿拉伯半岛；19世纪一些学者认为它是楝科植物，但现已难于考证。
• Lachanodendron Reinw. ex Blume (1823)发表时为一裸名，曾认为是龙宫果属（Lansium）的异名，但戴维·马伯利考证之后认为至多只能视为楝科中的存疑名称，很可能不是楝科植物。
• Ricinocarpodendron Boehm. (1760)现难于考证是什么植物。戴维·马伯利曾认为是山楝属植物（Aphanamixis），如能证实，则此名有优先权。
