如何用英语表达“越来越多”？不是 more and more

1.increasingly + 形容词

• to be increasingly important 越来越重要

• Increasingly,there is pressure on the council to reverse its decision.要求市政会推翻其决定的压力越来越大。

• She thinks that young people today are becomingincreasinglyselfish. 她认为现在的年轻人变得越来越自私了。

2.an increasing number/amount of ＝ increasing numbers/amounts of ＝ 越来越多

• An increasing number of people （可数名词）choose to study abroad. 越来越多的人选择出国留学

• Increasing amounts of money (不可数名词)is needed to study abroad.

此时，increasing 可以用 growing 替换，即 a growing number of.

3.increasing/growing + 抽象名词

• There is a growing awareness of the seriousness of this disease. 越来越多的人意识到这种疾病的严重性。

• Measures are needed to deal with the growing drug problem.需要采取措施应对越来越多的毒品问题。
