出口加工食品到美国需慎重

今日早晨看到美国FDA对国内广东一家食品公司的官方通报，在该公司出口到美国的产品中检出“二氧化硫”超标，并将该公司产品的照片公布在FDA网站上，同时也将该产品在美国的销售商信息一并发布。
对于厂家来讲，该公司已成为FDA重点监控对象，再次向出口美国食品难度非常大，该公司所有产品将会在美国入境口岸被自动扣留等待检验合格后通关。有鉴于此，建议国内不了解美国市场情况或不掌握美国管理规定要求的公司切忌冒险将自己的产品向美国出口，一方面会毁坏该公司在美国今后潜在的市场，另一方面也会毁坏中国产品整体形象，“与己与国”都不利！没有绝对把握而随便碰运气尝试开拓市场的侥幸心理要不得！！！

Undeclared Sulfites in “Bifeng Nong Fu Shanzhuang” Plum Candy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- July 30, 2009 -- New York State Agriculture Commissioner Patrick Hooker today alerted consumers that Tiffany Food Corporation, located at 1182 Flushing Ave, Brooklyn, New York is recalling “Bifeng Nong fu Shanzhuang” plum candy due to the presence of undeclared sulfites. People who have severe sensitivity to sulfites may run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume this product.

The recalled “Bifeng Nong fu Shanzhuang” plum candy is packaged in an uncoded 122 gram, plastic foil bag and were distributed nationwide. It is a product of China.

Routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis of the product by Food Laboratory personnel revealed the product contained high levels of sulfites which were not declared on the label. The consumption of 10 milligrams of sulfites per serving has been reported to elicit severe reactions in some asthmatics. Anaphylactic shock could occur in certain sulfite sensitive individuals upon ingesting 10 milligrams or more of sulfites.
