英语的一般过去时真的与现在完全无关吗？

The simple difference between the present and past tense is that the present tense refers to what is happening now, whereas a past tense refers to what happened in the past.

简单来说simple present tense和simple past tense的关系就是同一个动词随着时态变化而变化。

举例如下:

I was 15 last year. 去年我15岁。

I am 15. 我15岁。

It was cold yesterday. 昨天很冷。

我曾在xx高中教书。

I teach at Westview High School.

我在xx高中教书。

I loved him. 我曾爱过他。

I love him. 我爱他。

I ate 2 oranges.

我每天都吃2个橘子。
