Keyword

Keyword is a word in a text that is important for understanding the text as a whole. Keywords usually appear frequently in thesame text.

Linker

【Discourse】

Linkers are also called conjunctions.They join together two parts of a text (spoken or written).

Using linkers makes language more COHESIVE.

When teachers teach linkers, they should make learners aware that SPOKEN and WRITTEN LINKERS are not always the same.

Paragraph

A paragraph is a series of topic related sentences in written texts,which usually contains one main idea.

Good paragraphing makes a text more coherent.
