  Hello. How are things going? I just wrote to thank you for the help you offered during the last two years.

It seemed so unfair that I was ready to throw away the exercise books and give it up completely. It was you then who encouraged me with hopeful words, wise suggestions and such funny jokes that l burst out laughing in spite of the tears.     Have you ever noticed that some memories wouldn’t disappear as the clock strikes?

   Because of the sickness that stayed with me since I was given birth, I was somewhat weaker than normal teenagers and so it is easy to imagine how hard it was to finish running the long distance in P.E. class. I just couldn’t forget that you shouted at me when I was tending to give up——“Don’t stop! You can do it!” Your encouragement was just like an umbrella which made me forget the dazzling sun upon my head and the screaming cells in my legs. As you know, finally I made it indeed.

   You can never guess how much your words meant to me. I not only finished my running, but also gained skills to stick to what I do despite all the difficulties I would come across. This fragrant memory will remain in my heart forever! Thank you!

   I used to be weak in math.    How are you? I’m writing the letter here to say thanks for the encouragement you gave me yesterday. Of all the things you’ve done to help me out, this left the deepest impression on me.

   I was in a terrible mood after I got my test paper because of my low scores until you came to me yesterday.
